Dr. Yufeng Tu is an assistant professor at TUI University . Her research focuses on developing and employing statistical and probabilistic methods in data mining, operations management, quality control, and she collaborates with researchers from computers science, math, and social sciences.

Before joining TUI, she conducted her Ph.D. research at University of Maryland, College Park. In her dissertation, she analyzes the quality of services that airlines provides to its customers and modeling the randomness of the delays to provide a more accurate picture of the airspace traffic situation, improve the prediction of the airspace congestion and advance the level of decision making in aviation systems.

Her research has won Outstanding Participation Award in FAA Center of Excellence 4th Annual Meeting and she was also selected as Global Technology and Management Consortium Fellow in 2005.  She is member of Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS), Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) and the National Center of Excellence for Aviation Operations Research (NEXTOR). She published her papers at top journals such as Journal of The American Statistical Association (JASA).
